Welcome to the last issue of The Denham Springs Local.
This newsletter has run its course for me, so this is the last one I’ll be sending. Thank you for being here, but unfortunately it’s time to say goodbye.
But it doesn’t have to end here. If you’d like to keep it going, hit reply and let me know. I’m sure we could work something out.
Alright, let’s get into it one more time…
Cool mornings and sunny afternoons all week, which is perfect trunk or treat weather.

SHOUTOUT OF THE WEEK
Denham Springs, Walker, Watson, & YOU!
I started this newsletter because I wanted to know what was going on around town. Turns out a lot of you did too.
After 40-some issues, I know more about this place than I did in my first 13 years living here.
The guy behind Duke’s is one of the best oyster shuckers in the world. A priest used to ride into town once a month on a railroad chapel car. The chili cook-off is put on by Main Street volunteers. And heck, there’s actually a spring still here! Who woulda thunk?
There’s a lot going on around here if you know where to look.
So thank you to every business owner, church, library staffer, and volunteer who puts this stuff on. And thank you for reading and coming on this journey with me.
