Welcome back to another issue of The Denham Springs Local. Got lots of more Easter fun this week. As well as some other spring time fun.

I won’t be covering every single Easter event here because there are so many. Every church should have a special Easter service this Sunday, but I’ll still try to cover some of the fun and unique Easter events I came across.
SHOUTOUT OF THE WEEK
This week I'd like to give a shoutout to my buddy Jesus Christ.
I try not to get too religious or political or anything like that, but with this being Easter week, I feel like this deserves a special mention.
Whether you’re someone who celebrates it deeply, casually, or just shows up for the food and family—Easter is about something pretty wild when you really think about it.
So shoutout to Jesus. Thank you.

Taco Tuesday w/ La Casita @ The Play District
Tues 3/31, 3-7pm
Order from the taco truck and enjoy your meal at the party area tables while the kids run off that extra energy in the village.
Open Mic Night @ Le Chien
Wed 4/1, 5-8pm
Local talent, great music, and family-friendly fun! Whether you’re performing or just coming to enjoy the show, it’s the perfect night out for everyone.
Easter in the Village w/ Dodge City @ The Play District
Fri 4/3, 2-6pm
(Might have to create a whole separate Play District section haha)
Another fun day for the kiddos at the Play District. Easter egg hunts throughout the village, live animals to pet and meet, photos with the big bunny himself, Easter snacks and festive treats.
Thanks to Dodge City Pet Hospital for the hands-on animal experiences.
Spots will be limited for each session and tickets are required. There’s a 2-4pm slot and a 4-6pm slot.
First Friday Fun in Downtown Denham
Fri 4/3
Stroll the streets, sip something local, discover handcrafted treasures, and enjoy the vibe. It’s the perfect way to shake up your Friday night plans!
Le Chien, 6-9pm: Local vendors, live music with Sho Retro, CRAWFISH, along great food and drink options, and great southern company.
Cavalier House Books - Found Poetry Slam, 6-8pm: April is National Poetry Month, and they are celebrating with a combo Found Poetry craft and Poetry Slam Open Mic Night! Create your own poetic masterpiece or silly rhyming ditty to celebrate the power and fun of poetry. Tickets are $10, which covers all necessary supplies.
And more! Head on out to the antique district this Friday evening and you’re sure to find some fun.
2nd Annual Eggsplore & More Inclusive Egg Hunt & Resource Fair @ North Park
Sat 4/4, 10am-12pm
Fun filled Easter egg hunt designed with ALL abilities in mind and will include an egg hunt, family fun, and a resource fair for families. Sign up strongly encouraged using the link below.
Sneax Candy Eggstravaganza
Sat 4/4, 2-7pm
Sneax Candy’s first ever Eggstravaganza! There will be vendors, egg hunts, and SO MUCH MORE!
Jewelry with a Twist! @ The Potter’s Path
Sat 4/4, 4.30pm-5.30pm
Learn a simple wrap for a quartz point or slice. Different stones to choose from as well as info on those stones. You will also receive a cord to wear your creation home on!
